For the event, Telegraph Ave. will be closed from 39th to 55th Street from 11am - 8pm. Participating vendors have worked with Temescal District to prepare for this event. Preparation includes approval for the use of outdoor spaces directly in front of the businesses, as well as guidelines for doing business safely.

Saucy Update

We’ve been closed to the public since March, when Alameda county ordered a lockdown. Sometime in June, we became a partner of World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organization who gathers and coordinates resources for those in need. They’ve done such an amazing job in making sure Oakland communities are fed during this pandemic, thus making us feel so very honored to be a part of the initiative. We’ve worked hard preparing and delivering meals to various locations in Oakland most weekday mornings.

As the program is coming to a close, we are gearing up to reopen with expanded outdoor seating. We will adhere to Oakland’s guidelines for reopening and plan to do our best to operate as we see fit for the safety of our patrons and employees. It’s a very difficult time because while we want to feel normal again, it’s scary knowing the risks involved. Thank you for your patience as we adjust. Should you have questions, feedback, or concerns don’t hesitate to contact us at saucyoakland@gmail.com - we are constantly monitoring it.

Thank you for your support. We will send more updates as they come.

Please stay healthy and safe!

Warm regards,
Your friends at Saucy
